Submerged Arc Welding
At Valley Fabrication, we’re proud to offer a wide range of certified welding processes to meet the unique needs of each customer. Recognizing that every project is different, we assemble a specialized team of welders tailored to the specific requirements of your job.
One of the advanced techniques we specialize in is Submerged Arc Welding (SAW), a highly efficient wire-fed process similar to Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW or MIG). The key distinction with SAW is that it uses granular flux to protect the weld arc, which is submerged and not visible during the welding operation. This method offers several significant benefits, including exceptional weld quality, smooth and uniform finishes, and high deposition rates.
Submerged Arc Welding is commonly utilized in our shop for heavy-duty steel plate fabrication, including structural shapes, large-diameter pipes, vessels, and tanks. It excels with medium to heavy thickness steels, ensuring durability and strength for demanding applications.
Not sure which welding process best suits your project? Don’t worry! Our expert management team will assess your project’s specific needs and recommend the most suitable welding approach to deliver the best results.
