Aluminum Welding
Welding aluminum presents a unique set of challenges compared to more common materials like steel. From chemical sensitivities to increased risk of cracking, aluminum requires specialized knowledge, tools, and techniques to get the job done right. At Valley Fabrication, we take these challenges seriously. That’s why we have an in-house Quality Assurance Manager and operate a training facility to ensure every welder is fully trained and certified to handle even the most complex aluminum jobs.
Our team follows strict protocols when welding aluminum, including the selection of appropriate filler metals, proper storage, and thorough cleaning of the base material—all crucial steps to avoid contamination and ensure a strong, reliable weld.
Before selecting a welding vendor, it’s important to ask the right questions—not all welding certifications cover aluminum, and not all welders are trained to work with this material. If you’re working on a new project and unsure whether aluminum is the right fit, we’re happy to walk you through the pros and cons of different material options to help you make the best decision for your facility.
