Stainless Steel Welding
We’re going to go out on a limb and guess that when most people think of welding, they picture steel—probably carbon steel. And while carbon is common, stainless steel is often the material of choice when corrosion or rust resistance is critical. We’ve had many conversations with customers about which type of steel is best for their application—stainless vs. carbon—and if you’re curious, check this out.
Welding stainless steel shares many similarities with carbon steel welding, but it also comes with some important differences. All of our welders are AWS (American Welding Society) certified, meaning they’re trained to handle a wide range of materials with the proper techniques and precautions. When we’re asked to weld a unique stainless combination, we consult directly with our in-house AWS Certified Quality Assurance Manager to ensure the correct procedures are followed every time.
Over the past 45+ years, we’ve tackled our share of specialty welding jobs. One of the most common? Welding stainless steel tanks used in industrial chemical and food processing—where precision and performance matter most.
